Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Kwame Nkrumah Students Engage in Governance and Accountability at AAAZ

Activity Date: 8th March 2025
Location: AAAZ Offices, Lusaka
Project Focus: Youth Engagement for Accountability and Good Governance

At Alliance for Accountability Advocates Zambia (AAAZ), we believe that meaningful change
begins with informed, inspired, and empowered youth. That belief came to life on 8th March
2025, when we opened our doors to a passionate group of students from Kwame Nkrumah
University for a dynamic learning visit at our Lusaka office.

The visit wasn’t just a tour, it was a spark. Students engaged in eye-opening conversations
around transparency good governance and the sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
They explored how civil society drives accountability and how youth voices can disrupt the
status quo and inspire progress at every level of society.

From live dialogues to reflections on AAAZ’s grassroots advocacy work, the session was a
powerful blend of learning, inspiration, and connection. The students left with more than
knowledge, they left with a sense of purpose

Seeing young people so engaged in national issues is a reminder that the future of governance
lies in informed, empowered youth. Their curiosity and passion give us hope” — Luchembe Chilufya, Executive Director, AAAZ

Why This Matters

This visit was more than a one-day experience, it was a step toward building a stronger bridge

students.
