Issuance

The streets of Kalingalinga came alive on 21st February 2025 as the My ID Campaign Roadshow rolled into the community, bringing a wave of civic education, vibrant performances, and powerful calls for accountability in the National Registration Card (NRC) issuance process.

With a focus on ensuring free and fair access to NRCs, the campaign merged information with entertainment, creating a lively and engaging space for residents of all ages to learn about their right to identification.

One of the highlights of the day was a performance by popular content creator and artist Ndine Emma, who used his platform to share key messages about NRC access and fighting corruption in public service delivery. The roadshow didn’t just entertain, it educated, mobilized, and inspired.

Representatives from the Anti-Corruption Commission Zambia and the Office of the Public Protector were present, emphasizing the importance of transparency and public reporting in the NRC issuance process. Their presence highlighted the campaign’s core message: every  Zambian has the right to an NRC, free from corruption or unnecessary barriers.

Your NRC is more than a card, it is your identity, your access, and your right as a citizen. We
are here to make sure that everyone knows that and can claim it without fear or frustration. ❞

Why This Matters

he NRC is a gateway to essential services, voting, education, healthcare, and employment. For
many, the barriers to obtaining one are rooted in misinformation, corruption, or lack of access.
The My ID Campaign is working to bridge that gap, one community at a time.

What’s Next?
The campaign continues its journey, taking this crucial conversation to more communities across
Zambia. The message is clear:
Everyone deserves access. Everyone deserves accountability. Everyone deserves an ID
